AIN’T LIFE A BEACH? Growing up, I was never the kid that loved playing outdoors. While other kids routinely begged their parents to let them play outdoors, I couldn’t be tempted with the best candy to step out to play. Beaches were definitely not high on my Fun Locations list. I hated playing under the sun so much that some people thought I was a vampire, while others thought I had an eye defect because I would barely open my eyes in the sun. No lie, but a part of me thought I was a modern day vampire without fangs and a strange need for indomie noodles. Like other kids, I outgrew a lot of things I hated and ended up doing several of the things I swore I would never do. Wow, I had a ton of phases. From the angry punk rock kid to wanting to be like Mariah Carey with my screeching voice trying to master the whistle register... FYI— I was hitting those notes in my mind excellently.  I moved to Lagos from Delta State in July 2015 and I can still remember how I felt that day-
